We give SAQA aligned short courses in Apply Basic Tree Climbing Principles, for the forestry and arboriculture industries.
This is a short course over 2 days and covers:
- Risk assessment
- PPE
- Rope skills
- Ascending and descending
- Work positioning
- Fall arrest
- Equipment care and storage
We also retail tree climbing equipment !
Advantages of these systems:
1) Simple to learn and operate and can be learned by semi-skilled labour.
2) Equipment needed is kept to a minimum.
3) The lowering system is already in place for patient evacuation in the event of an accident.
