This course teaches forest workers to climb tall forest trees and smaller seed orchard or ornamental type trees. They will learn to climb trees using either Tree-spikes or connecting Tree-ladders or Tree-bicycles.
In addition mountaineering type rope techniques are used to safeguard the progress of the climbers both up and down the tree. These techniques have been adopted from normal rock-climbing techniques.
